The All Black Solar Panel, e.g.., a solar panel with a black frame and black backsheet (BoB), is considered by many to be the most aesthetically pleasing look for roof top residential systems. In our opinion, an all black roof-top solar array really does add a touch of class to a home.
Black-on-black solar panels come in both Monocrystalline solar cells and in Multicrystalline, aka Polycrystalline solar cells, and in a wide variety of wattage. However, most of the all black solar panels being produced today are made with high efficiency Monocrystalline solar cells in the relatively new high powered 60-cell format and range in wattage upward of 290 watts. The 60-cell format enables manufacturers to produce very high wattage panels within the traditional module size – about 65 inches x 39 inches.
